Isn't SodaStream another company we're trying to avoid though? Or are we bottle carbonating our own artisanal dishwater?
That's why I got a used soda stream and third party co2 cannisters, it's not perfect but they get the minimum amount of money from me.
Then I can drink all the carbonated dishwater I want!
Are there actual third party canisters or did you fit an external co2 tank to your soda stream? I’ve been wanting to modify mine to save money on tank exchanges.
At the gas station they sell fully compatible soda stream CO2 canisters.
I have been looking at getting a 10l CO2 tank but the local prices makes it not really worth the effort, at best it would be the same price.
There's also an adapter that let's you fill the 60l sodastream bottles direct from a CO^2^ cylinder. I went with this, as I wanted the unit in the kitchen, but didn't want the cylinder there.
