There's a joke about the notorious M-M cable (aka the suicide cable) that I'm too lazy to make.

M-M in audio is crucial though, hooks my car to my Bluetooth

Low voltage DC male-to-male isn't a problem, though. It's the sparky voltages that will do you in.
