Sky orange. Is it dust from wind or smoke from fires?

Someone in the other DT linked the satellite feed. Wind is dragging smoke from the Grampians fire over the city.

Very apocalyptic looking outside, and now the smoke smell has hit where I am, it’s really strong. Got the clothes inside and split system on.

So much for drying my clothes.

I thought it looked a little bit strange outside.

I think it’s smoke from the fire in the Grampians

I noticed the weird sky about half an hour ago but now I can smell smoke. I hope everyone is safe. This is gonna be a long tough summer.

There's also a bushfire out in The Gurdies towards Philip Island past Cranbourne. It's a lot smaller and fresher, but that's probably contributing, at least to the SE folk
