From Read Luigi Mangione’s Resume - Ken Klippenstein I found https://github.com/lnmangione. At the moment he has 2.5k followers on this account. Which is quite a lot for github, and I am guessing 100% accrued in the past few days. AFAIK there is no way to get the history of the metric.
There is history available on repo "stars". GitHub Star History for the repo lnmangione/Halite-III, which seems to be the most popular:

Some people are making what seem like legitimate (not jokes/political) PRs in old repos. Very strange.
Update: When logged in to github I notice you cannot actually create an issue or comment on a previously created issue anymore:
Not sure when this was implemented, or by whom.
He's got a repo called ElvinGadd so clearly he embraces the Luigi's Mansion thing. Wonder if he's played the original game.
I don't understand this.. I am not a gamer (?)
I opened a few of the code files but they look like straight forward python code which is also something i don't know about.
Oh, no worries! Yeah, there's nothing special about the code, but the mentor character in Luigi's Mansion is called Professor Elvin Gadd (better known as E. Gadd--it's just a silly pun on "egad").
still don't get it. but it's ok. sounds like I'm just not the target audience.
I realize I made one crucial assumption, which is that you knew he picked up the nickname "Luigi's Mansion" almost immediately after his name became public because his name sounds similar. I guess it's a sort of obvious joke for someone who knows of the game, and the name of that repo being a character from Luigi's Mansion suggests that he's not only aware of the joke but also doesn't mind leaning into it (not a given, since I could imagine it getting old pretty quick if half the people you meet make the same joke after you introduce yourself).
