This is kind of like when COVID happened and they knew they weren't going to do shit for you so they just told you to wear a mask and wash your hands. Donate money to them and then help each other when they fail to act.

Also, much like COVID, these fucks will tell you to prepare for the worst while they go to parties and conventions. They'll actively participate in trying to make the worst happen.
