How tf did apple manage to make "not owning an iphone" an ick for so many people lol
They make android phones use an ugly text color when they text you.
They also genuinely make texting with any other phones extremely difficult. Like I can send videos to people without iphones fine but when I send one to an iphone user it comes through in like 180p.
iMessage and FaceTime lock-in.
Probably not so much of a problem anymore, but Android phones used to have a lot of crapware from the phone manufacturer and/or carrier and you couldn't expect more than a single OS update. Android phones are a good deal at $100 but I wouldn't want to pay $700 for such messy UI. Google's Nexus and Pixel as well as Motorola and OnePlus catered to the enthusiasts that knew what they want but these have never been big sellers in the West.
I love my oneplus lol. I hate how they left the concept of being cheaper than the competitors
Also iTunes and crappy iPods back in the day. Loved my Creative Zen Vision and Sansa Clip MP3 players back in my 2005-2015 era
