Be interesting, do cool things and invite someone in to join you. Thats damn solid advice.
People often think their hobbies are boring or to niche and think that no one will care about them. But passion is infectious and by sharing things you think are interesting you will eventually find someone who wants to share it with you.
As long as it's not fishing haha
You will enjoy fishing a lot more if the company is good, and the beer is cold.
I like fishing, I just think it's quite unpopular with women.

What's the implication? Am I naïve? I just thought it was traditionally a man's hobby with little interest from women, just as most men mostly aren't very interested in crochet.

Maybe it's different in your area. Where I live the local fishing spot is nearly all men.
