Wait what, I'm confused. I know one of the authors of the paper and I thought it was an interesting methodology applied to food.

Oh, my interpretation was that it had a picture of It*ly and their cuisine on there
im not sure if that's what op was going for, that was my best guess. there's also an isntreali flag and a picture of italy so those might count too

Ah yeah, gotcha. I did raise my eyebrows to that, and emailed one of the authors about its inclusion in the paper. They haven't responded back.
I know is hard to be oblivious to the massacres, but I love thinking of a legit ignorant pasta scientist catching strays
