i can't be the only one weirded out by kamala pretty much exclusively being referred to as a "black woman" despite her being twice as south-asian, right? like her mom is indian, and her dad is half-white half-black

feels very one drop rule where whatever visible heritage seen as being at the bottom of the racial construct hierarchy takes over everything else
