Oh wow, good post seriously
The game literally incentivizes kidnapping, imprisonment, forced breeding, and forced zombification of the villagers. Kidnapping villagers and bringing them to your home makes them more accessible for trading, imprisonment keeps them from dying to zombies, breeding them lets you make few kidnapping trips which are arduous, and zombification and curing gets you reduced prices.
Even if they just added a "pollution" mechanic to ore extraction, the game would change so much. It could go a very ecological way, or some frostpunk dystopia
