I feel like this opinion isn't that unpopular, although the parry-bros and the dodge-bros will be feuding over this for a long time.
Parrying is hard!
It also feels really good though. Way more than dodging.
Hmm, I don’t know that I agree. I agree in cases like Bloodborne and Dark Souls where parrying stops your enemy cold and you get to do a special riposte attack. Much less in Sekiro and (to a lesser extent) Jedi: Survivor where you have to parry successfully several times in a row or you’re fucked
I prefer the dance of rolling around an enemy looking for an opening to panic mashing block and hoping I time it right
