I used to be on the gross margin improvement team. Basically our job was to implement projects which reduced cost.

I don't think a single person's job was eliminated because of my work. I remember creating about 35 jobs. For example I had a project where I identified about $900k in potential savings per year. We had to spend $50k one time and hire an employee for about $60k per year but still saved about $900k.

Employees are cheap(even expensive ones). Simple things like hire an employee to check something at step 3 so you are not paying people to do steps 4-20 will easily pay for itself if that issue at step 3 happens enough. Like for example that's the whole point of unit testing software. Pay someone to write tests all day everyday even at an high salary, say $150k reduces costs of tech support, reduces cost of later testing, improves value of product, increases sales etc. If you want to be negative this is value stolen from the worker. But if an employee doesn't make you a profit, why are they a employee? Like if you pay $70k for an employee who causes $50k in revenue... Fire them and make yourself a 20k raise. Now if you pay someone $70k and they make you $700k that's immoral...

Taiwan is important culturally to China for history reasons. But it's much important financially and technoly wise due to tsmc. That was the true point of the chips act so us technology wouldn't be so reliant of Taiwan but I doubt Trump understands that.

When I was younger my mom had cats(started normal 1 or 2, got insane... Highest number I remember is 37 but now she has 0). One cat was a hunter through and through. Basically there was a hall way that ended in the kitchen and my room was the first door from the kitchen. I was sitting at my computer desk, the cat was on top of the fridge. The cat jumped up the fridge, hit ground, jumped again reached my door frame, backfliped off it, caught a fly in it's front paws, landed, ate fly, looked at me like "aren't you impressed?"

Another time... Same cat actually... Another cat had a litter of kittens(old enough to walk and see etc but still kittens).. Hunter jumps in my living room window with a live chipmunk. Puts it down and calls the kittens. The basically encircle the chipmunk and the hunter removes its paw and steps back. Nothing happens. Chipmunk is terrified. One kitten walks up and swats it. Chipmunk runs. Hunter chases, grabs it and brings it back to the circle. This cycle repeats until the kittens have a good idea as to how to attack pray. Hunter kills chipmunk, at which point I intervene and put it outside. It's was like watching a savage show but it was also just nature playing course. Honestly really interesting... Not idolizing the violence and death but the watching one animal teach its family how to hunt and eat.

Not to mention the amount of analog clocks that are just wrong. I work at a fortune 500 company, most clocks are digital and synced to a time server. Every analog clock is wrong. Just yesterday I walked through the cafeteria and glanced at the clock and it read 5:20... For a second I panicked and was like it can't be that late. I checked my phone, it was 3:06. The clock was just not set properly.

Generally your blind spot is larger on the right side(especially on tractor trailers) so it's more likely to result in an accident.
