Hello! I'm a member of the FossCAD community and was wondering if it would be okay to host c/Fosscad here on lemm.ee. Fosscad@lemmy.world was recently removed as the admin wasnt comfortable hosting printed arms content.

This potential Fosscad community would be about discussing the safe and technologically interesting art of printing of guns and other arms. A practice that is legal in the United States for most citizens.

I just wanted to ask first, since I can definitely understand that its a potentially touchy subject even if completely legal.

My guess would be he wasn't self hosting the AI network so the requests were going through a website.

It looks like its gone for me? That community was the largest of the Fosscad communities and I posted there occasionally to try to grow the sub. But now its gone, anyone know why?

Hey a fellow ex-Apollo user. Yeah I basically made an ultimatum with myself that I'd never try another Reddit app, if Apollo dies I'm gone.

Why is this article's tone written like its rooting for rents to rise?

"there should be far less supply going into 2026, giving rents a chance to make up some ground"

It almost sounds like they could be talking a stock price falling.

Would have been a sick burn if he disagreed with her

As shit as this law was to ever be put to pen and paper (figuratively), silver lining is it getting struck down sets a great precedence that'll help the fight in other States that have passed similar laws.

Steam. The support they have for multiplatform almost feels open source and they have been invaluable for the adoption of desktop Linux

Not really. Truly no printed plastic is food safe due to the pores created during the printing process. These pores can house hard to clean bacteria.

There are coatings you can use to eliminate pores that are food safe. But I’m not familiar with them so I couldn’t really point you in the right direction sorry.
