I wear my Apple Watch stainless all the time aside when charging. I swap the face and band (Milanese or a wood and metal link band) for fancier occasions.

I've been purchasing Apple products for about 22 years. If anything, quality, durability, and product lifetime have gotten better. Apple is f-ing amazing when it comes to managing their supply chain these day, and I think a lot of that is Tim Cook.

Apple used to always deliver products late and with problems in the 1980s and 1990s. Look at the number of iPhone, iPads, Apple Watches, AirPods, etc. that they deliver every year like clockwork. The scale of that, and the high quality in general, is just mind boggling and an underappreciated achievement.

...just what type of dreams did you have before waking up?

I've had an S0, S4 and currently have an S6. On the S0 and S4, I'd be frustrated by the display not turning on. Since using the S6 I hae not had that issue and turned off AO display as I would rather have the extra battery life. I can't remember the last time I got frustrated with my AW for the display not being on when I want it to.

I just picked up a 42mm S8 from Target for $220 in a pre-BF sale.

I still find it is slower to access the infomation I want most of the time, though the fix to the temp complication at least made me stop wanting to smash my watch every time I used it. Some examples:

I prefered the scrolling interface to the screen by screen. I use the temperature complication rather than conditions for the Weather app. To then get to conditions, it is multiple taps rather than a quick swipe.

Activity is a mixed bag--with swiping/scrolling I'd often overshoot what I was looking for, and need to go back. Now it's multiple actions or getting used to using the digital crown, which I basically never did before.

I understand why they made the changes they did, and for many use-cases it will likely be easier. But for some (e.g. Weather app), it's more work. Hopefully continued refinements will help. I wish I had been able to wait to upgrade to 10 for another couple months, but upgraded my X to an 15 Pro so was pretty much forced to upgrade.

Making my coffee immersion style using a Hario Switch daily. Usually 1-3 other times a day when I need a one off alarm that nags more than a reminder or calendar alert.

If you don’t mind charging once a day, the regular AW will work for all of this and is likely more comfortable to sleep with.

I also use WorkOutDoors for additional workout stats, and Lose It! for nutrition tracking.
