Much better ideas for series have been suggested by those that enjoy Star Trek, and they have been ignored.

Star Date Beverly Hills 90210 wasn't what we asked for.

Even when a series has good characters and interesting ideas, it still needs compelling plots and competent script writing.

Personally I've watched every episode of every other Star Trek Series, even the weaker ones. I've given up on Academy. I'm just really not interested 😕🖖

That's not really they way to experience Star Trek.

Unless they are already into SciFi or Morality Tales picking one episode won't work as an introduction.

Each series and season has a different style and presentation 🙂🖖

We really need the follow Captain Seven series. Episodic in a similar way to Strange New Worlds with the option for longer story arcs where needed 🙂🤷‍♂️

I don't know which volumes you read in the series or which side series you've read but that's not an accurate description of the series.

Also Starship Troopers isn't a parody of SciFi is a parody of fascism.

Indeed but even for the good writers like Asimov not everything they write can be turnes into a movie or TV series.

For some it probably shouldn't be attempted.

There doesn't seem to be any plausible mechanism to allow transporters or replicators to work. If they did then transporters would be murder machines🫤

Warp drive at least seems to have some plausible mechanism in physics that might make it theoretical possible even if it's impractical to build 🙂🖖
