Honestly I would bet that it is a burnout thing, but it's been a couple of years that the love of cooking has been decreasing....I guess it could still be burnout though ๐ซ ๐ซ since you're on keto, can you give me some other ideas of what you eat? It looks like charcuterie is the best option lol but yeah, sneaking veggies in is a must

I definitely make a makeshift sling out of a towel to hold my cat while I was cooking once, it was a hit. This is so rad
Hey sorry it took ancouple of days to respond, your reply got lost in my inbox. That's wild how expensive it is to drive! Kinda sucks that it seems like it may be reserved for more well off people but at least there is usable, robust public transport.
Sotry if this sounds really stupid, but can I ask what a normal vacation might entail/what kinds of transit do you use? For example I like to camp and there would be no way for me to get to camp sites and such without my own vehicle. And if a drivers license is so expensive it sounds like it would be really prohibitive to rent a car for something like that
Ah that's fair, I actually liked bagging groceries when I was an actual courtesy clerk, unless the person was SUPER anal about how things got bagged. Like damnit I know it's meats separate from veg separate from cleaning products and heavy to light from top to bottom!!! Don't kill my vibe! Lol. I think it was more bothersome as a cashier to bag groceries, I'm super fast at cashiering so if it's 3+ bags that will need to be done and the person is done paying and just staring at me the whole time....I just don't get it. I'm a huge fan of efficiency though so maybe that's more of a me thing
Hahaha aw I wish! I definitely round up stray shopping carts and put them in their corrals, though. That way I'm helping staff AND other customers by freeing up parking spots!
I usually bring my own reusable bags and regardless if a bagger is there or not, I offer to bag my own groceries unless it's more efficient/faster for me to just ring up my card. I used to be a cashier and I absolutely hated when people would just stand there and watch me bag 3-5 bags of groceries while there's a line of 4 people behind them. I always appreciated customers who do it themselves. A lot if the time people who bag groceries that aren't cashiers also clean messes, gather shopping carts, face aisles etc, so if it's a huge supermarket they'll probably be happy to skip that job.
Mr. Burns would like a word..
Bring it back! Fuck the normies!
I recently won an election victory at my workplace, and I'm really trying not to throw in the towel as one of the central organizers. Our local doesn't have paid organizers to help so we are literally doing all of this from the ground up.
Hard to want to stay when your employer drags negotiations out for 1+ year, all the while having wages frozen due to negotiations, or alternately, having your employer try to cut your existing benefits to the legal minimum in your state (happening to another unionized dept. at my job) when you finally get to financials. And this is at a small/medium non profit. Doesn't matter what sector you're in, the bottom line is what matters most to these assholes. My dept. hasn't even elected a bargaining committee yet. Someone who's in a union please provide me with some positive words cuz this shit is haaaard
I'm looking forward to that. I've been riding a Surly for years, I'm excited to see how fast I'll be when I rebuild my road bike!
Hahaha that's what I'm hoping for. Trying to push myself more than ever, we will see how long the motivation lasts
Ooo, Cabbage to snack on sounds great. I saw a snack of cream cheese spread on red bell pepper too which is really good. You are definitely speaking my language lol. The mug cake idea sounds pretty easy to whip up too. It's so wild, like why does that seem less labor intensive than cooking a pack of Ramen noodles?!No reason, brain just days so lol.
