Probably by creating a private company called "xovernance x" that just goes in and directly coups people.

Though credit where credit is due: if the US wants to maintain being a super power, they need to have the ability to manufacture goods at home. Historically, tariffs would keep manufacturing at home.

Can tariffs bring manufacturing back? Maybe. Over the long term I believe so, but in the short term (unless there are backdoor deals where oligarchs are taking a financial hit to start manufacturing back up) it will not work. It will however bring much suffering.

I think these tariffs are the beginning of the empire's death throes. It feels like the American leaders are trying desperately to hold on to control, and Trump is willing to try something different, rather than just doing business as usual.

Regardless of what happens, take care of yourselves, friends, family, and community.

Not that I like even thinking about stocks. But I wonder if betting against a rise in stock price for NVIDIA is actually worth it right now....

So we (a Palestine solidarity group) were leading a pride parade chanting the usual things in a megaphone. When we started chanting "From the river to the sea" the cop (who was supposed to be the liaison for pride) tried to grab the megaphone and said "you can't say that". Well, it turns out the person who used to babysit his kids was in our group and they gave him a dressing down while the person with the megaphone started shouting into the megaphone "from the river to the sea" the cop got really mad, was completely humiliated by his former babysitter (I think neighbour too?) and his cop body put his hand on his arm and said "what are you doing?". At which point he backed off.

So I guess personally knowing a cop can help, just not in the way people think.

It's cute that the UK still thinks they're an empire. The sun has set my dudes. Get over it.

Its like they think siding with the americas will make them relevant, really its the americans that made them irrelevant in the first place. So maybe they should help end the empire. It only makes sense.

Here's a hot take:

Someone said "people tend to vote for the party/people they think have done the most to improve their material conditions". If you look at the usa, neither party has done shit for the average person in a very long time.

So how then do people decide how to vote? Vibes and conspiracy theories.

So this made me think of a new way to do a communism. Build up a huge military and keep it somewhat secret, but be friendly to foreign investors so that they open tons of industry in your country. When you are satisfied, nationalize all these industries. Obviously the country will declare war on you (in game or irl) but because you have a huge military you fight them off and take over their country too! Reverse imperialism.

Taken steps mean they have begun a meeting about setting up a committee to see if creating a committee to look at meeting about building drones is a good idea. Then, after several years, they will decide whether or not they have the productive capacity to do so. Which will lead to them asking China if they can manufacture drones for them.

Reading this at first I thought "no it won't fail without intervention". But this time it's different (also arguably we just ignored fascism last time but whatever). It's not just a single country or two, it's basically the "world government/police" that is fascist. But we are also no longer in a mono-polar world, people have non-state affiliated media, and within the empire the lives of the empires subjects are falling apart.

The "good guy" narrative is falling apart.

But we definitely need to organize before things get too bad.

This has been thoughts whilst pooping (a subsidiary of TED talks).

The shit we are going to have to go through so that we can one day chill and enjoy life, should be unnecessary.
