Once I internally came to terms with my gender identity, I started playing cis women characters over cis men on average within D&D 5e. Occasionally I’ll play changelings as well.
For Baldur’s Gate 3, I’ve made a mix of trans and cis female characters. I think it’s because it’s the trans ones were more self-insert and the cis ones were “wanna have a pretty and/or badass character”.
