With the "not for resale" stamp clearly shown to boot.

I'll believe it when I see it. Dougie is good at bluster but will he actually follow through?

No it's pointing out the absurdity and hypocrisy of somebody who is trans praising and sucking up to the guy who is passing ton of anti-trans laws.

It's like being black and sending a shout-out with praise to a KKK leader.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this feels like a good place for Hydrogen power to step in.

One of the oft repeated concerns is that generating hydrogen to power vehicles the takes a lot of energy, which often comes from dirty sources.

One of the oft repeated issues for solar (or wind etc) is that it's available at certain times and not in and of itself storable or transportable, so excess is lost.

So, take the excess solar energy, produce hydrogen and store for off-peak times or to distribute.

Seems like a win to me.

This just in: car impacts with deer down by 50%, but deer becoming a snack to wolves at night is up 100%

Yeah, but it's often in the form of a YouTube video with narration that's not always so easy to understand. I miss written tutorials, but most of the good ones I find these days tend to come from Central/Eastern European forum posts.

Likely because the original company had terms similar to others where digital content "ownership" is only an "ongoing license/subscription to access" which they can revoke (which is the real issue with any sort of online digital media)

[-] [email protected] 41 points 2 years ago

Actually it's usually more "you own the content but by posting it grant is an irrevocable right for us and our partners to use it"

Basically allows them use without the responsibility for ownership of inappropriate content

I could likely finish my actual work in less than my allotted work week, but the rest of the time is spent on meetings, waiting on tasks that depend on others before I can move forward, and a lot of general bureaucracy. Sometimes my weeks are quite idle, and other times they're overstacked.

Rather than take chances with a second job, I try to will the spare time with updating documentation, learning, etc

They're supposed to fill the gap for people who can't afford to buy, or for whom it doesn't make sense to do so (i.e. people in town on a temporary job).

The problem is that "landlords" these days are more towards the class of "investors" who expect rents to cover the cost of their mortgage plus additional profit

It's probably a combination of the lighting and how your phone takes pictures that makes it seem a bit off. A lot of phones these days like the pixel actually do a bit of automatic post-editing the clear up images, but can sometimes make things a bit surreal

Should have kept the pictures, let them fire you, then persued for wrongful termination
