I switched to GrapheneOS like 4 years ago and at first I was bummed that I could no longer tap my phone to pay. But it's fine. I still go out with my wallet in my pocket, so it's no problem to just tap my bank card really... I'll take privacy over convenience thanks

So I've tried both, and they both work, but with different effects. The dex is the only thing that helps with executive function, that kick start to actually initiate tasks. But Ritalin is more effective in muting the mental noise which helps me stay focused longer. It also helps me regulate my emotions much better. I have young kids and life gets hectic, so ritalin helps be keep my cool in this moments. But I'm reluctant to give up the Dex (what I'm currently prescribed) because I need it most work days to get things moving.

I wonder if anyone has the same experience and whether they've managed to work with their prescriber to use both on lower doses?

Finally got confirmation of what I've always known. Feeling conflicted. Relieved and happy I now have validation. But feeling angry and grieving the life I could have had if I was diagnosed sooner. Still plenty of time to find my groove I suppose.

I'm living life in the virtual terminal, no graphical session, although the framebuffer does render graphics.

You can have your faith and still denounce bigotry and intolerance. Leaving Catholicism doesn't mean you've lost faith in your God, it just means you've lost faith in a group of people and their ideals.

Obviously this group is about atheism so you'll not get many comments here encouraging you to stay Catholic. You sound like you have a moral compass. Don't concern yourself with what the ignorant Catholics around you say and do, just be a good human and spread love and acceptance not hate and intolerance. What would Jesus do?

Hey everyone, I'm planning on setting up my first home server this year. Going to use an old Dell Optiplex with a couple 4tb SSD's.

I only need two services running. Jellyfin and immich. I've tested this out in a debian netinstall VM and it works.

Just looking for helpful hints or advice etc. I'm a long time Linux and BSD user and I'm tempted to try it out using Alpine Linux or even NetBSD (my daily driver os) but I thought I'd be sensible and go with Debian for.... Stability?

Anyway, immich is run in a container whereas jellyfin has a binary install. Apparently you can run jellyfin in a container also, not sure I really need to tho?

Thank you for any hints or advice.

For the workplace, calls are king. If you're a professional, calling another professional, it's the easiest and fastest way to exchange information back and forth. Long email chains that take several days to reach their conclusion are inefficient. If you need something done, in the work/business arena, just call. Younger generations are entering the workforce for first time and are scared to make or answer calls. It's embarrassing.

Sure, outside of work, keep calls to a bare minimum. Family usually text first to arrange a phone call.

People have no back bone anymore. Oh no, I'm getting telemarketing calls... Just hang up.

There is no way Trump wrote that tweet. It is full of punctuation and clearly gets a point across. It was clearly written by someone else. Nevertheless, time to delete protonmail.

It's hardly overlooked. It's been widely known for many years that cheap fast fashion is one of the worlds worst pollutants. Stop buying from shein, h&m, tkmax, and all the others. Buy quality clothing that will last a few years at least.

So I'm kind of using 9front for the first time and I really like it. It's really quite a simple operating system. There has certainly been a learning curve coming from Linux and BSD, but I'm getting there. Just need to set up Mail, Faces and an IRC client next.

So far I've just edited the theme, set up a couple functions, customised my riostart, edited the winwatch source code to reduce the padding etc. Everything I've done is pretty much in the acme window.

I've connected to the 9p VPS through rcpu which I find much better than using draw term. Although I suppose I'll need to use draw term to complete challenge two, set up faces for neinbook.

I'm hoping to learn how to edit the main right click menu so I can add launch commands for acme and netsurf. I also would like to edit the new window command to enable -scroll in all new windows. Any tips are welcome and appreciated.

I'm just curious if it would be possible to port rbw to 9front?
