The centralized services always shut down in the end. This is why I am pushing so hard for people to just learn how to use Haveno. Once you get used to it, it's awesome and you don't have to worry about it just vanishing one day since it's a decentralized p2p network similar to bisq.

It is up more than 2x since the binance delisting last year and has outperformed Bitcoin, anyone saying Monero can't work as a store of value is wrong. Because it's so stable, it works even better. During this week's crash I was not very worried because I knew XMR is rising in price die to its utility, not from speculation, and this crash did not impact its utility in the slightest.

Unless you have to use centralized sites like these for some reason, please use Haveno instead. Adopting the decentralized option now before Monero is banned everywhere is much better for the community than monkey-branching from centralized site to centralized site every time they delist Monero.

Im quite happy with the pace monero.town is growing, especially since it was initially only set up as a fallback in case the subreddit gets banned.

Serai requires it's own coin for the design to work, there is no real way around it.

While this is likely true, it doesn't get easier to use Tor depending on whether you want to buy a fake Gucci sweater or black tar heroin.

I do believe Monero still has massive potential in swallowing up many P2P drug transactions should CBDCs be used to really clamp down on cash and when that happens, other sectors will be affected as well: "You're carbon credit allowance for this month has run out, no more meat for you."

Haven't tried bard but use ChatGPT to write/debug scripts and SAP stuff. Also asking it when I have simple but technical questions.

I am also downloading and running the latest models in the local LLM space every 2-3 weeks, just waiting for the point at which they finally take over gpt3.5 at which point I'll probably not touch ChatGPT again.

After moderating a bigger subreddit and seeing just how much spam there was in the comments and just how many people spend time replying to these bots I basically stopped reading them. Here I haven't see bots yet and at least my home instance watches out that it stays that way.

The nice part about federated software is that there are other instances you can join :D
