dog food is about double what it was in 2020. Say what you will about the cost of energy going up during that time: there's no way to blame ONLY energy costs for that.

It's greed.

Here's our version of Metric's "Help, I'm Alive", featuring our good friend Matt on backup vocals. We love Matt's voice: the song would not be the same without it.
Feel free to let us know what you think, if you wish. No pressure. We know you have things on your mind.

The first song from our third album. New music drops every few weeks until August!
Yes, listening makes your life better, but sharing makes other people's lives better.

FTA

Industry groups argued that those museums didn’t have “appropriate safeguards” to prevent users from distributing the games once they had them in hand. They also argued that there’s a “substantial market” for older or classic games, and a new, free library to access games would “jeopardize” this market. Perlmutter agreed with the industry groups.

So as long as someone, somewhere, might make a penny off of them, they can't be free. Insert your own metaphor here.

Next thing you know, Musky will order staff to create entirely false tweets on official accounts and lock the accounts so the false tweets can't be deleted. He will burn that entire company to the ground to get TFG back in.

This article is one of the most down-to-earth, realistic observations on technology I've ever read. Utterly striking as well.

Go Read This Article.

On another forum, I was complaining about how Microsoft was planning to remove WordPad from Win11. I was advised that installing OpenOffice or LibreOffice was an appropriate replacement. I replied that WordPad was only 3 megs large, as opposed to the recommended replacements, which are decidedly larger.

I guess not everybody appreciates tight code, but I surely do. Things like this are amazingly impressive.

It's pretty upsetting to begin with, but if you change the wording to: "Pregnant women in Missouri don't have the right to get divorced" it's somehow even worse.

Fuck TIME Magazine for giving anyone a platform to make threats against others.

Hey there Lemmy.world ! I'm in a band called The Three Leonards. We cover pop songs in a jazzy style that might remind you of artists like Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, or Tom Waits. We have two full albums of songs, streaming everywhere:

Hello Lemmy.world! I'm a member of The Three Leonards. We do covers of pop songs in a playful jazzy style which might remind you of artists like Leonard Cohen, or Nick Cave, or Tom Waits. We might even remind you of that one time you tried mushrooms with those degens from upcountry. We're not here to judge: life is just like that sometimes. You do you. And while you do you, whether you're on mushrooms or not, you should listen to our music. Because it's fun. And because you've probably never asked yourself: "What would it sound like if Leonard Cohen did a cover of Toxic by Britney Spears?" And now you don't have to ask yourself. It's right there.

Feel the groove. Feel the love. Feel The Len.

Our cover of the brilliant Hooverphonic song. We aimed for some serious Bond vibes on this one.

From an ongoing project where we reimagine pop songs in the style of characters (very) loosely based on Leonard Cohen.

Morning everyone. Here's the most recent release from our ongoing music project The Three Leonards. We re-imagine pop songs in a LeonardCohen-esque style.

Have a listen and tell me what you think. We know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but some people really like tea. Remember your first cup of tea? I sure do.

We also released an entire album last year, which I can link in the comments here because this place doesn't have a gigantic stick up it's arse. https://open.spotify.com/album/5RwGC1qOeAQvIENh9X353F

Have an awesome day, Internet. You deserve one. Maybe our music can be a part of it.
