It started as a joke on 4 Chan in 2017 get people to think the ok sign was used by white supremacists. The media naturally fell for it/ran with it as it creates a narrative of secret sleeper clan members waiting to strike. Mostly morons believed it to be true which included white supremists groups who now have adopted it.

I dislike the loss of tire use stragity. I like that teams are forced to understand how to get the most out of their car on each compound. Practice is a little more important, teams can't just focus on max pace with softs and race pace on the different compounds.

Electric trains work for a few reasons, multiple cars can be driven without giving up cargo space, the amount of power put down can be much higher, and wheel slippage can be managed almost instantaneously. These gains allow electric trains to overcome the loss due to electric generation and storage.
