I'm anti bike lane. Roads should be for bikes and pedestrians. Cars should get their own single separated lane on the occasional road.

Bike lanes are car infrastructure. They are not needed unless you consider the entire street to be for cars by default.

Also dave is an idiot. Maximum capacity would be a cycle and transit only street because those have the highest throughput per lane. Cars are incredibly space inefficient.

Just for comparison, on their 9th test flight the Apollo program they had already successfully reached orbit 5 times.

The 9th test flight of the Soyuz was their 7th time reaching orbit.

Elon's 9th attempt is his second time reaching the bottom of the Indian ocean. Shows the level of proficiency in spacex.

Electric cars are a very bad choice as an apocalyptic vehicle because they require a working power grid. If you have a reliable electrical connection, its not the apocalypse.

A gas or diesel car or truck is a better choice because the fuel is a liquid. You can store, stockpile, and siphon it. The same cannot be done with electricity.

But the value of a car is limited. You can escape a local crisis. But for anything widespread, there would be little benefit to high speed travel. Anywhere you go will still be the apocalypse.

Build community. Work together with others locally. That's how humans have survived throughout most of history and its a much better survival strategy than a mad max cosplay.

Winning a point is a very low bar. You don't have to beat her. You don't have to win a set or a game. You just have to score a single point. All it takes is a single mistake from your opponent to win a point. With enough time even the best will make a mistake, and tennis matches are long.

The shortest possible game is 4 points. A set without a tie breaker has 6 games. A women's tournament match is best 2 sets of 3. So at minimum a match of tennis has 48 points. You only need one.

If you're passible enough to return the ball some of the time, and do a valid serve you will probably win a point at some point. She may be one of the best tennis players of all time, but she's not infallible. Its really unlikely she wouldn't mess up at least once.

Whenever a headline is written to imply something without saying it, don't trust it.

The words in the headline are not false, but they chose to cover this story nationally because they can write a headline that strongly implies that there was an attempt on the president's life because they know that will entice a click.

If there was evidence of the exciting implication that would be the headline.

A depressed person attempting suicide by cop isn't something relevant to a national audience, but people will click because of the headline.

Its worth remembering that ICE continues to exist even when republicans are not in the white house.

You can and should oppose ICE all the time. Less deportations happen when people resist. Direct action is more effective than voting. The work doesn't stop when your pick is in the office.
