I absolutely don't want to try to convince anyone I know to join Hexbear.
My partner and I bought our home with a mortgage from our credit union. It probably doesn't matter anyway because loans often get sold to other banks on the secondary market without owners' input and I think that's already happened with ours, though we still pay for it monthly through our credit union.
