Not Canadian, but European: Language Transfer is the best language learning system you can find. Free, too!

I have used their Spanish course, and it is excellent.

I went through engineering school, and 20 years of work (not as an engineer), before finding a calculus text that explained why the derivative of x^2 is 2x. Along with many practical applications of calculus.

That book was Calculus Made Simple, published in 1914. Thanks, Project Gutenberg!

Edit: derivative of x^2 is 2x. Got my differentiation and integration confused!

Even if he works twice as much as one of his employees, which I do not concede, he is being paid 500 or 1,000 times as much. For that much money, I would expect nothing less than 24/7.

Taylor doesn't even sing her own songs, for those $5,000 concert tickets.

WordPerfect's "Reveal Codes" mode was the best feature a word processor ever had. You could see exactly what was causing your formatting problems, and surgically fix them. It's like viewing the HTML of a web page.

Why would God divinely inspire writers to write down the story he wants to tell, but not divinely inspire it to be copied and transmitted reliably. There are hundreds of thousands of differences between various biblical texts.

Someone says that the Bible is literal truth. The only question then becomes which version of the Bible?

Bart Ehrman goes into great detail in his YouTube channel.

There's a scene in Brooklyn 99, or one of the characters sniffs and says, "what's that smell?"

"That's the absence of urine," is the reply.

I am a big fan of MyNoise, which mixes real-life recorded sounds, but you have a ridiculous amount of control over almost everything.

It's browser-based, so compatible with any device. Once it has downloaded the sounds, it doesn't use any more bandwidth.

Definitely worth supporting with a donation.
