This isn't the case. Midjourney doesn't receive any VC money since it has no investors and this ignores genned imagery made locally off your own rig.

This series started as an [adultswim] short called Scavengers. "Reign" was added afterward to make it distinct from what was effectively the pilot, which had a more minimalist approach but featured the same themes that were featured throughout the series.

Loved both. Definitely recommend the Scavengers pilot AFTER the main series Scavengers Reign though.

Ha yeah, it's my little status update of where we're at with AI video. No images were given as references, it was all done with text prompts.

The whole comic is actually Ai but the characters, especially Victor, are derivative of traditional sketches and character art. I essentially establish the composition with Ai then superimpose my own style on top of it.

I am a former VFX artist for a few [adultswim] shows who's been using AI since Thanksgiving '21 and Midjourney since the beta release as well as open source alternatives like Stable Diffusion. You can read the comic in full here: https://www.victorgnarly.com/stories/project-four-l3zw3-sl66r

I'm a former VFX artist for Robot Chicken and a few other [adultswim] shows. These are a few of my initial thoughts on AI imagery after 1 year in the can. Excuse my vtubers model, as I'm not fully condemning AI I've had to hide my identity a bit after some nasty was thrown my way online. Won't stop me from making content though. Take care!

Hi! I am a former VFX artist for a few [adultswim] shows who has been using generative imagery for about a year now. My take is very nuanced without a cheering endorsement or condemnation of Ai imagery. If anyone has questions or comments, please post them below. Thanks for watching.
