Speaking only for myself, I would be more likely to read the article if you included what you meant by "real" and "unreal" anarchists in the post.

Metric or imperial football fields?

[-] gid@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 days ago

Thanks, I'm going to try this out!

[-] gid@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 days ago

Oooh do you have a particular recipe for this?

[-] gid@piefed.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 days ago

I have never made pasta before and while I want to give it a go, I don't think I'd start just for mac and cheese.

[-] gid@piefed.blahaj.zone 14 points 2 days ago

Mac and cheese!

Make a Bechamel sauce, stir in grated cheddar until it's properly cheesy, add a pinch of nutmeg and white pepper. Pour over macaroni, add more grated cheddar on top, and bake.

If I had aged Gruyere I'd mix that with the cheddar.

Jenner noted that the policy could affect her ability to vote, adding that she did not believe the policy was "really thought out, what this means."

Giiiiiiirl this was exactly the point of this policy.

I had a bizarre dream where I went to a goth day rave held in a gymnasium and there were a bunch of children dancing to this.

Anyway, this song slaps.

I've just received some upsetting news from a family member. I'm feeling big feelings. Can anyone recommend me some music to have on while I'm sitting with these?

Currently I have these songs on my playlist, so any recommendations in a similar vibe would really help:

Tori Amos - Black-Dove (January)
Porcupine Tree - Collapse the Light Into Earth
Eluvium - Copia
Nine Inch Nails - Your Touch
Porcupine Tree - Heartattack in a Lay-by
Nine Inch Nails - Hope We Can Again

I'm reconnecting with my younger self, listening to a bunch of gothic metal.

This was one of my favourite bands from that era.

Edit: update the link to the actual song.

Not a fan of this news. At all.

Feeling particularly witchy today.

I'd like to add some more related communities. Off the top of my head there are:

Are there any other related communities you'd like to link to?

I've been caught out in a recent post I made of a Youtube DJ mix that used AI art in the video (I didn't actually watch the video: that's on me). I've also seen some comments about album artwork being AI in some posts.

From a personal standpoint: I don't want to hear/see generative AI stuff, and I don't want to intentionally promote it. However, it's impossible to determine with 100% accuracy if something uses gen AI, so any kind of approach to monitoring it is going to be best-effort.

I'd like to hear this community's thoughts. Would you like there to be a community policy for the exclusion of gen AI content?

Happy EBM day!

I recently got to go to Rio de Janeiro, which has been a long-time dream of mine, and while I was there I discovered I really enjoy Brazillian percussion music. It tapped into the same kind of enjoyment I get listening to industrial, so since then I've been on a deep dive looking for any crossover of those two genres.

I caught Pixel Grip's gig in Bristol last night, and had a lot of fun. Live, their songs take on an urgent, danceable energy. I've seen some great shows lately and this one is up there with seeing Youth Code earlier this year and Nine Inch Nails last year.

Set list:

  • Intro (Stamina version)
  • Club Mania
  • Pursuit
  • Diamonds
  • Reason to Stay
  • Moment With God
  • Work or Shut Up
  • Last Laugh
  • Dancing on Your Grave
  • Stamina (no intro)
  • Spit / Demon Chaser
  • Insignificant / Alphapussy
  • Bet You Do

A coworker recommended this to me and I'm really into it. Dirty EBM and drum 'n bass with touches of jungle/breakbeat from Brazil.

When I saw this post I thought "I bet someone has helpfully commented that that armoured vehicle isn't a tank".

Sure enough.

This picture looks odd. Did you use some sort of generative AI for it?
