In my experience both blue and red team ppl simply ignore any contradictory messaging. “Well, other side bad”, etc

No clue, it should have just been cut bc the guest was rambling towards the end of the episode about Afghanistan's drug trade affecting the neighbor countries and it didn't really add much. Am just kinda surprised bc they are generally good when it comes to leveraging genuine criticism or support when it comes to China.

"If you are somebody who is really motivated by the concern to protect Jewish life," Mann said, "you should be fighting for [Israel] to wind down the war, to conduct it in a way that does not turn basically the whole world against them. That is not good for the near- or long-term security of Israel."

You can quote the scripture all you want but hardly anyone else who gains a conscience gets a major news outlet story published about them. The quote I pulled from the article here demonstrates, to me anyway, that if Israel was a mere 5% less genocidal he would’ve held on to his post. This guy worked for the Middle East bureau and now I’d wager he’s gonna go work for some private defense contractor of some sort. He does some sort of minor protest that won’t impact anything and now we aren’t allowed to call him a pig on the internet?

I was innocently trying to read about Turkish while on lunch break and got hit with an anti-communism jump scare

it's news like this rolling in constantly lately that vindicates my decision to quit being a corporate software developer forever even though it's left me without that sweet blood-soaked paycheck. Fuck these people, quit your job.

yes that was in the article. Maybe i'm just overthinking the act's optical aspect and the truth of the matter is that Xi really likes those people and is continuing to keep in touch
