Criticism of the US isn’t hatred either, it can come from a desire for improvement.

Every time I see this it's a small group within a larger capitalist society. So of course the results are beneficial to the recipients; it's not really proving anything in that respect.

The problem as I see it is how to make it work as its own self-sustaining economic system.

I read it 10+ years ago. As I recall, its main point had to do with differences between Old World and New World populations.

Since Africa falls into the Old World along with Europe, I don't think the book actually supports any conclusions about this topic.
