There is a psychology to using cringy memes. Can't use them all the the time, and you need to fit the right cringe into the right place, but when you hit it, it does tend to make them remember a point they might not have.

Much of teaching a classroom full of kids effectively involves a perverse mix of psychological warfare, manipulation, and entertainment. You should try it some time.

Been there, done that, and nope.

There are many dead and dying small towns across the northern part of the state. Pretty much glorified logging camps that served as supply, repair, and staging towns as the logging companies moved ever outwards. Not really sure they were ever meant to be more than temporary. But it's taken some 100 years to reach their ends. And some still barely cling to life but are dying slowly but surely.

I would disagree a bit as a traditionalist. But, I'm fine with changing tastes.
