At what point is that acceptable? Attacks like this were well known when this was new so shouldn't they fix it? 12 year old cars have been recalled before, but there are a lot of cars without the latest safety fixes. Careful how that is done. Hitting random things tends to make people more in favor of war - get back at those who destroyed the neighbor's house. Hit things that are more impersonal like ammunition factories instead.

Isn't there bluetooth? My wife's van predates all this car/phone integration things, but bluetooth still works just great. You shouldn't be changing the channel while driving or whatever it is that those excra tools give you. (my car features a cassette deck which is annoying when I want to listen to something, but I almost never drive so it works)

At this point the culture had shifted to not value large families and so few even think it is possible while not having kids seems like a valid option. It takes years to shift this even with an effort to encourage kids.
