Almost no cars, trucks, or tractors are steam based anymore. I believe most ships are ICE as well, not to mention rockets, and animal/muscle power. As such I'd need a very deep analysis of the situation to believe any claim. (deep because in an ICE a large part of the power comes from burning fuel producing steam, so we can start debating how much of an ICE is steam - have fun).

In any case my local electric utility generated more power from wind than all customers used last year, so I can make a good claim most of my power isn't from steam. If your utility isn't in the same situations or close you should be demanding they get with the times.

America is not a capitalist society. It is a clasical liberal society. The core concept is you can work for whatever you want and thus obtain it.

don't forget the Seventh amendment - civil trials where the value at question is more than $20 you always have the right to a jury trail.

AT this point it is safe to assume you will fall for scams like this in your life. They are too like the real thing. We need the laws and police to catch up to investigating this thus making crime not pay (most of this is from countries that don't work with police - so probably some major international efforts required as well).

That depends. If you declare you are not registered at all that makes you an illegal pirate with no protection at all. If someone else with a yacht decides to sink yours that is probably legal for them - if you fight back they can call their navy to defend them. Regardless of who their yacht is flagged under calling their navy for help probably means they asked the nearest navy (which is almost always the US navy - even if the US hates the country in question the US doesn't want the seas to be a free for all and will come) to help.

If you become self sufficient out there probably nobody will care and you can be there for years no problem. Just don't cause problems and nobody really cares. However if you cause problems expect issues. If one person on your yacht steals from another that is your business, nobody will get involved. If someone steals from someone with a country that country will get involved to protect their own. If kids are born on the yacht they might not have a country which could make life hard (particular as the yacht gets old and is no longer safe!). If you have kids born and then sexually abuse them several countries (in particular the US with their large navy) have declared that illegal anywhere and so they will come in to stop you.

The hard part is to become flagless in the first place. What every country you set out from will just assume the boat has their flag by default. They generally won't let you choose to take it off - they will let you sell it to someone in a different country and then change the flag, but there is nobody with no country who can take ownership of it. Maybe a lawyer can find a work around, but it will not be easy.

Driving is full of edge cases. Humans are also bad drivers who get edge cases wrong all the time.

The real question isn't is Tesla better/worse in anyone in particular, but overall how does Tesla compare. If a Tesla is better in some situations and worse in others and so overall just as bad as a human I can accept it. Is Tesla is overall worse then they shouldn't be driving at all (If they can identify those situations they can stop and make a human take over). If a Tesla is overall better then I'll accept a few edge cases where they are worse.

Tesla claims overall they are better, but they may not be telling the truth. One would think regulators have data for the above - but they are not talking about it.

The solution is to keep using craigslist - it still exists and gets some activity. Ensure that it gets more.

It is what the Russians turned them into. I'd prefer Ukraine was known for food, cement, iron rod, and other industrial equipment -all things that would improve my life. Instead they were attacked thus forcing them to become things that are not nearly as useful to me (or so I hope...)
