On a related note, is anyone working on a CEO assassination simulator?

Ah, this is so cool. I have been absolutely loving Aurora. Maybe I can make a check point and rebase to this to try it out.

Interesting, every example people have given you in response is pretty weak. (I'm not saying I agree with Nintendo have any exclusive claim here.)

Is there good humor somewhere on Lemmy?

This is just motivated reasoning. Someone thinking "Oh no, I look kinda like that guy! I'm fucked!" seems incredibly far-fetched to me.

By the time I got it I think most of the driver issues had been ironed out. I did have some trouble with a couple of games running on Linux with Proton, but those same games worked fine on Windows. I think there are some kinks to work out still with dxvk. It is possible that I just never tried one of these problematic games, though.

Just like on Reddit, that depends on the moderators of the sub/com. It really couldn't work any other way. .world seems to often err on the side of being inoffensive for the sake of broader appeal. (And probably also not getting in hot water with their hosting partners, acquaintances, etc.)

You had to hit me with the word "literally?" 😆

I don't know what you mean, though. "Meme" and "post" are two different words describing different things, even if they're often related. They aren't synonyms.

If you think about it, the perception of what is "right side up" is arbitrary. It's like that cliche discussion of qualia and what if what I see as red is different from what you see as red.
