Joining a mailing list wouldn’t be so bad if the mail apps weren’t so bad at doing mail.

Congrats! I did a poor job managing finances in my 20s so it wasn’t until last year that I reach my first unclaimed $10k in savings. So don’t be embarrassed, you’re ahead of a significant number of your own age group.

The older I get, the less time passes between starting a new project and reading the readme / manpages for a library.

Since we would be inside the frame of reference, I don’t think we would know it was happening, like imagine you’re inside a tube that is knotted. You’d go through the tube like a slide at the water park, no way to see that it’s a knot, even if we can detect the turning and tumbling, there’s little we can reference from inside to determine it’s crossing around itself.

It doesn’t matter how bullshit or not it was, it matters that people voted for it.

They’re referring to the literal campaign strategy / platform he ran on which includes such fascist rhetoric as deporting 20m immigrants (when there’s at most 13-15m by most estimates, every single one of which helps the economy and is not a burden in any way) and “it’s the last election you’ll need to vote in”, as just a sample. Oh and don’t forget “I’ll only be dictator for one day” as a bonus, a treat. That’s what people mean when they say democracy is dead.

I don't want to blame Harris either, she seemed to do the best that she was given but it always was long odds given that she's a Half-Indian Half-Black Woman. (Racism from Whites, Racism from Indians for being a race-traitor, and then sexism from everyone including minorities).

This is bullshit rhetoric. She ran a shit campaign of trying to appease republican voters and cater to the snowflake right wing fear machine by shushing Palestine voices to back genocide directly and trying to sound tougher on immigration and border policy in the face of literal fascist policy campaigns by Trump. This is 100% the fault and failure of the Harris campaign’s strategy and the DNC for being so chicken shit scared of losing that they kept the corpse in chief in the running for too long. Catering to the fascist right policies never works and ignoring insanely popular progressive policy always fails. The beatings will continue until morale improves.

If you don’t need to host but can run locally, GPT4ALL is nice, has several models to download and plug and play with different purposes and descriptions, and doesn’t require a GPU.

Huh, I’ve only heard business logic before.

Quarterly is very common. It’s absurd.

Throwing BPS.Space on here, more rockets fun and genuinely good engineering fail and fail again until you succeed rocket madness.

I’m glad the union has a majority in agreement on this step. But Boeing is going to regret not having any long-term skill retention when they all leave for greener pastures because there’s no incentive to stay.

I have been using a plugin recently in Rider that basically hooks most features of the app to notifications that teach me the current keyboard shortcut for said feature. It has some customization options such as needing a threshold of usages before prompting, reminders, etc. It’s even gamified a little bit by tracking how many times you successfully used the shortcuts and how much time you estimatedly saved.

I really like this plugin and I’m wondering if anyone knows of a similar plugin for NeoVim? I have been exclusively using NeoVim at home for terminal file edits to help learn it and I’m getting better slowly but I just figured maybe I could accelerate this with something helpful like that.

If this doesn’t exist, does anyone have any offhand resources for getting started with NeoVim plugin development?
