To receive the money collected through fundraisers, Palestinians need to work with a “receiver”, someone outside of Gaza who sets up the campaign and collects the money on their behalf and wires the money through their banks. That’s because the platforms use payment processors that do not operate in Gaza.

Most of the people I come across are real, they only appear like scams because we still can't come to terms with the fact that all Gazans are starving therefore they all have to pick up this full time job of fundraising from strangers.

Most of the money that gets pocketed goes to the western NGOs because their bureaucracy kills people through incompetence and racism. Donating to individuals and mutual aid orgs on the ground will always be more effective than relying on "respectability creds".

If you're looking for better places to donate to, here's a list: https://itsgoingdown.org/your-guide-on-how-to-support-mutual-aid-groups-in-palestine-as-humanitarian-crisis-deepens/

ALT: blue tricycle with flatbed panels lowered

Maybe a more philosophical question, but my country classifies this gorgeous bastard as an electric tricycle because its max speed is locked at 25 km/h so it can be driven without any license.

fun fact, a mini version of this without a cabin is getting really popular with old people in rural areas as a way to replace their bikes because it lowers their chances of getting ran over by cars.

I assume it's also being used as a covert disability aid since it looks less like something that would get you discriminated by ableists or by your mates at the pub.

back to the model in the picture, I also predict a big uptake by the people using horse-drawn carts to haul cargo/people. yes, we do have street-legal horse public transport, why do you ask? 🤭

he probably wouldn't even die, he'd just spread it to as many people as possible so he can turn it into a global pandemic and kill off the "undesirables"

I love the idea that there are kids out there who think adults just wake up every day, eat a chipicao croissant then take the sticker tattoo that comes with it, slap it on their skin, leave the tap water run on it for a while then just go to their big boy job

Zhang Yazhou was sitting in the passenger seat of her Tesla Model 3 when she said she heard her father's panicked voice: The brakes don't work! Approaching a red light, her father swerved around two cars before plowing into an SUV and a sedan and crashing into a large concrete barrier.

Stunned, Zhang gazed at the deflating airbag in front of her. She could never have imagined what was to come: Tesla sued her for defamation for complaining publicly about the car's brakes — and won. A Chinese court ordered Zhang to pay more than $23,000 in damages and publicly apologize to the $1.1 trillion company.

this is simply an extension of how y'all treat Neuro divergent people in hospitals and psych wards. I assume the fact that it happened in the open made people outraged compared to when it happens behind closed doors
