Thanks for the reply. I did try this and it wasn't working but I tried reinstalling the game and that did work. It reset my settings and keybinds, it did keep openplanet but lost the plugins. Not a big deal. I had some weird issues with the game the last week or so. So maybe when ubisoft breaks it again the usual fix (like in this case waiting for the proton experimental update) will work without a reinstall.

I'm still having some issues even though proton experimental was apparently updated. Trackmania just gets "Ubisoft Connect is not currently installed" when starting Trackmania.

Any suggestions? I'm on pop os

I've also tried rubbing Ubisoft Connect via Lutris but when hitting play it opens up a blank square on the screen and the launcher/login never come up.

Stupid Ubisoft, I just got into Linux a couple weeks ago as my daily driver and this was the first thing to make me boot back into Windows.

I hate being a doomer, and this does look great... But doesn't Google own Fitbit now? And hasn't material you been out for almost 2 years now?

You do have to be careful about pruning young trees. And also yes... I will keep the branches trimmed. I'm not the problem I'm annoyed with, it's the others (HOA included) who do not keep their trees trimmed. I typically go for runs on the sidewalk and it's very annoying but also great limbo practice

This is really interesting, thanks! I had no idea. Our HOA does have a list of approved and disallowed trees but I don't know the extent of it. Luckily we were able to plant a tree that is local to the area and is a small tree when fully grown. And I do really love that there are lots of trees in the neighborhood.

It's funny you mention sidewalk repair because I feel like I've ever only seen that in one place I've lived. Highly anecdotal, I know. Hopefully in several years when the trees are more mature and the sidewalk has issues, the city will fix it.

Why does our HOA (who says the city requires it) make us plant a tree between the sidewalk and the street so that in the next 10-20 years the sidewalk is all fucked from the roots, and low branches make it annoying for anyone over 5ft to use the sidewalk?

Maybe I'm the odd one out but I can't take any "take" seriously when people can't just use names. I've seen "Elaine" and now "Elmo" and "Muskrat".

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Are you saying Elaine instead of Elon on purpose?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I did post what I want to see. A reasonable take about not everything needing to be doomer central, I'm not denying negative things happening..

True, but I've heard it's still negligible and almost every dark mode is dark, not pure black.

Selling my Mazda, deleting my league account, burning my Lacoste clothes, and not using any online service that uses cloudflare

Honestly this is interesting but realistically what do you do with this info?

I only see a handful of communities posts, but miss a lot from smaller communities that aren't as active but do get daily posts. Reddit blended in smaller communities really well and it's something I'm struggling with here.
