We use plenty of biodegradable plastics. They’re not always the correct solution. You wouldn’t want an airplane biodegrading, for example.

Because different lenses are good at different things. On a three-lens setup, one is usually a telephoto lens for distance, another is a standard wide-angle lens for normal photography, and the third is an ultrawide angle for capturing more of a scene and for macro ultra-close-up photography.

Also you can film in 3D using two of the three.

Multiple lenses are a big part of why phone images are as high quality as they are these days.

And the one on the front is obvious, it enables things like video chat, selfies, and sometimes facial recognition (though that can also work by infrared and lidar).

Nah man. There are uses for touchscreens in cars. Just don’t put everything there, and especially don’t put anything you’d need to use while actively driving in there.

But being able to have dynamic user interfaces is very useful for plenty of non-directly-driving-related features.

I decided in 2015 to be a fan of the (then terrible, but historically awesome) McLaren F1 team. I really liked the McLaren P1 hypercar (not that I will ever be able to afford or even drive one), and I thought that was a good enough reason to pick a team to follow.

I have thoroughly loved watching their rise from dismal in 2015 to winning the Constructor’s Championship in 2024!

Find a sport that interests you, there are LOTS of them. And then find any reason to pick a team. It’s fun, even if absolutely meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

(I really liked F1 because the technical side is fascinating, and I only needed to learn the names of twenty athletes. 😅)
