Why call me out like this?

I think a key for me was understanding what the relationship between theory and praxis was. Theory is the writings of people who are trying to develop ways of thinking which are useful for positive political change based on their experiences on the ground. Praxis is the actions of those people, driven by that theory. So they both depend on each other. You’re going to understand theory better if you’re out doing praxis and your praxis is going to be more effective if you’ve read some theory and learned from the mistakes of the past.

But urine drug screens are easily misinterpreted and often wrong, with false positive rates as high as 50%, according to some studies.

Holy shit

You weren’t kidding. It’s literally a clone and they haven’t changed all the verbiage yet.

“Good luck with that Java Springboot rewrite” said no one ever

Someone do an op about how Woke Content Detector is secretly a false flag and is woke themselves. It would be very funny I promise

Ideally people would know the difference between various services and gain a little insight into what they need either on their own or through some introductory talk therapy. Do you need DBT? Do you need EMDR? Do you need somatic therapy? Is basic CBT enough? Do you need someone who specializes in a certain disorder? Wading through all that can be hard and is rarely done properly.

So what’s with the pictures? Are there just less people? Or less light pollution for some reason?

My jobs have consistently gotten easier and less demanding as I’ve been promoted and made more money. I don’t think this is true across the board, but it’s common enough that the opposite should not be as prevalent of a “common sense” opinion as it is.

I feel this. There are also a lot of people, both temporarily and permanently disabled, who have just never thought of themselves as disabled and will get very upset if you imply otherwise. I’ve had that experience talking to people about long covid. It’s frustrating.

There are a ton of emergency preparedness plans whose official stance on physically disabled people is to leave them behind. Disability activists have been sounding this alarm for years.

I just bought a handheld emulator (Anbernic RG35XX) and I’m now overwhelmed with options.

I’m also expecting to be destroyed by the games some of you were playing as children, but whatever. Anything PS1 and older is appreciated.

Almost all of my closest friends have been diagnosed as bipolar at some point over the past decade. They just kept on coming. I just tend to gravitate toward y’all. I’ve been assessed myself and don’t seem to have it, so idk what that’s about. I know being bipolar can be hard and has a lot of stigma attached, so I just wanted you to know you’ve got someone in your corner.

Remind: don’t fuck the bunny

This is clearly the superior way to post

I’ve read through some of the top posts for r/therian. I have a vague understanding of otherkin in general but hadn’t heard of therians in particular. If my kid said they were a furry, I’d be well within my comfort zone. I fuck with furries. But this seems like people who feel they are trans-species and talk about having species dysphoria. I just don’t know what to make of it but I’m also trying to not overreact or let my snap judgements alienate my kid. I assume they feel like they’ve just had to come out to me, which is something I’ve gone out of my way to not make necessary in terms of gender and sexuality stuff. Just didn’t see this coming.

If the worst thing that happens is they enjoy making animal noises and spend more time out in nature, I’m super down. If they start experiencing alienation from their own identity because of this, I’m not sure what I’ll do.
