The man who hypes up that higher intelligences can figure out laws and rules from data quicker and more thoroughly than lower intelligences defending e/acc accounts by going 'well they never openly advocated for killing, so this is not a valid concern'. Did he forget he advocated for bombing datacenters? Guess he never read any science fiction where '"rational" leader accidentally inspires murderous cult', By The God Emperor, somebody should write a science fiction novel about that. (E: hell, does he even get what accellerationism implies? Somebody reading between the lines and going šŸŽµ 'So let the games begin, A heinous crime, a show of force, A murder would be nice of course'šŸŽµ is not out of the question).

I dont know enough about Japan, but is it just me or is that a very specific fleshlight gripe? E: yes, I guess, this means I'm tagging myself as the fleshlight or something.

In a just world they would be able to sue for damages for the storefront not being up, but I doubt this will be possible in any good way.

TWG: is a good reminder that atrocities donā€™t come from convenient avatars of all I oppose

Random bluecheck: On the contrary, this just reaffirms my biases that e/accs and AGI race-promoters are the source of every bad thing in the world.

TWG: was he e/acc?

We are in the 'he only followed some e/acc, he never said he was e/acc' phase. Wonder what his manifesto will say.

Splitting but worse, because when attacked over this they can retreat to the castle which says 'no we don't mean these as strict camps, but as ranges, and one is not better than the other.

This is one of the superweapons Scott claimed feminism has. (Yeah, I'm part elephant, I still am going on about the now deleted meditations on superweapons).

The first part of this article reminds me of something that was missing from the article a while back, on the flaws of LW/Rationalist style thinking. It was missing that LW/Rationalists love to create binary camps. Object vs Meta, Soldier vs Scout mindset, Founder vs Manager, and here external "AI is fake and sucksā€ internal "AI is real and dangerous.ā€ camps. These mindsets are often massively flawed and lead to very simplistic thinking (see for example how in this case, the AI is real vs AI is fake actually removes 2 camps (the internal 'AI is fake' people and the external 'AI is real' people)).

Im going to assume they meant it as a reference to the Castlevania boss.

Ah Lyta Gold, one of the enjoyable writers from current affairs before Nathan went all "call an ambulance! I think I'm having a moment of class consciousness! But just for me!" Starts firing everybody. And I realized that vague socialist left libertarians suck. (In a just world he would languish alone on his site, with only the email replies he gets from Noam Chomsky to keep him warm. But it isn't a just world, so he just replaced his writers, like a proper capitalist owner).

But turns out Gold (I had lost sight of her) has a book "Dangerous Fictions: The Fear of Fantasy and the Invention of Reality" out which might be relevant to us. And she also blogs on substack, with relevant to out interest posts like "what ever happened to right-wing art?" (Moldbug mentioned, drink!), and a look at conservative masculinity "What if we treated men like adults?".

I think most of them thought they would be the pumpers and dumpers and not the ones holding the bag. Saw influencers pull the same sort of shit a few years ago. "Here is how I made money quickly scamming others by pump and dumping memes Musk references". (This is still a confidence scam and the blame should be put on the people pulling it and not the dumb greedy victims imho).

From their earlier writing on Bitcoin: "but some doubts arose about the aforementioned professor: Saifedean Ammous." Saifedean Ammous might not be an actual professor, or a sane person at least, I assume you all are just as shocked as I am. (E: turns out it is his actual real name, can't make this up).
