and that’s platedwall fished

I'm going to assume this means a wall plate and jack?

As opposed to the Verizon installer who just drilled a hole through my house, ran a wire from the ONT up to the 2nd floor, and put a large knot on the inside to keep it from falling back through..... *sigh*

Didn't even strap the cable or anything, it's just out there flopping.

I can't believe I'm asking this, but, quite simply, I need a USB Wifi dongle that will play nice with Linux for my old Yoga. My router is a Netgear R7000 running Fresh Tomato. No 6 GHz support there so I don't really need the adapter to have it either.

There's a story behind this - of course....

I had to replace the screen. Since it's a 2-in-1, the screens are basically glued in so I swapped the entire 'lid assembly' rather than just the panel. Opted to upgrade to a 1080 instead of the 720 it originally had. Surprise! The new panel has a different (older) antenna connector for the internal antennas that won't work with any of the wifi cards I have. Rather than downgrading the wifi card or removing and regluing the display, I'd rather just grab a cheap USB adapter.
