I can't believe I'm asking this, but, quite simply, I need a USB Wifi dongle that will play nice with Linux for my old Yoga. My router is a Netgear R7000 running Fresh Tomato. No 6 GHz support there so I don't really need the adapter to have it either.

There's a story behind this - of course....

I had to replace the screen. Since it's a 2-in-1, the screens are basically glued in so I swapped the entire 'lid assembly' rather than just the panel. Opted to upgrade to a 1080 instead of the 720 it originally had. Surprise! The new panel has a different (older) antenna connector for the internal antennas that won't work with any of the wifi cards I have. Rather than downgrading the wifi card or removing and regluing the display, I'd rather just grab a cheap USB adapter.

I'd steer clear of Netgear and realtek.
