*that isn't personally losing their house

They tend to only care when it hits them

Going to school in Ohio, we never even learned "communism bad because once a bunch of people in a communist country starved"

We simply learned "communism bad" and that was that.

Never directly stated, of course, just constantly informed that the "governments of the world needed to stop its spread" and anything bad that boomers didn't like was called "communism" so it basically just became synonymous with "bad"

Crazy how the capitalists in charge of things and who had a huge capitalist financial incentive to say " anything other than capitalism is bad" would do such a thing... Real "we've tried nothing to help you and we're all out of ideas" energy.

You don't even need the civics class, just watch that one schoolhouse rock video.

It's mind-boggling that the entire history of war hasn't been "our leaders decided they wanted a war so we tossed them in a pit with sharp sticks to figure things out and suddenly they decided war was avoidable"

We have more in common with a random American Crack dealer, a random middle-Eastern farmer, Chinese retail worker, South American factory worker, than anyone who leads major countries, anyone in the 1%.

I have no ill will toward any Iranian, in fact I've known quite a few immigrants and think better of Iran than most US states, yet my country leaders decided it was a good idea to bomb the fuck out of them. We should toss them in a hole until they can work together with the rest of us, yet here we are...

Big yikes

They stated they didn't break piracy laws because they downloaded a shitload of books for their LLM and didn't seed any.

Torrents are downloaded by "leeches" and put out for download by "seeders"

A proper ratio of what you downloaded to what you allow others to download should be 1:1 if you're not a dick. (1gb downloaded means you need to upload 1gb to other users for 1:1) but if you don't seed at ALL or if you only seed bare minimum to keep downloading things, you're called a Leech, and derogatorily. Because you didn't seed.

So they're stating "we didn't break the law, we're just leeches!"

I mean, even if that is the case, so what?

Are other countries not allowed to have militaries anymore?

Space should not be militarized, in my opinion, but if the US is going to do it, then we don't get to finger wag at other countries for doing the same thing.

Ah, insecurity and insane levels of rage. Name a more iconic duo.

I'm just saying, screaming that a gesture is making fun of your penis size is the quickest way to make everyone think you have the smallest dick in the world.

I own several cowboy hats, which I wear around town.

It took me until this part to recognize it.

"I own several kimonos, which I wear around town"

Well done. 10/10.
