This is something that's always boggles my mind as an American.

Why would any other country rely on us for military equipment instead of working on their own? Yeah it costs money to setup, but even in highschool I knew enough to know the US has, to put it lightly, done shady shit to its allies. Hell, it's own people.

Why would anyone trust that they'll always be an ally? Especially when Republicans are in charge and make international cooperation even more of a joke than usual.

I want the EU to be self sufficient not because I think they suck and should be paying out the ass, like the magats do, but because when the US government decides they don't want to play with the other kids anymore, they can't take the proverbial ball home with them.

But the business analysts are the most profitable group, anywhere! If you don't believe me just hire a business analyst to analyze things and they'll prove it to you!

People talk about being there “for” someone. Here being there “with” him is more important.

When I'm depressed, having someone sitting on the couch in my living room scrolling on their phone is infinitely more meaningful to me than someone who is miles away and texting me a lot or offering to help with things. It's probably part of my neurodivergence but having the person close in proximity while at least sort of paying attention to the room makes me feel less alone than having 10 people trying to check in on me all day.

Hi, I use a truck daily for work.

If I could trade in my current truck for something more economical, with similar cargo space for the things I actually use it for, I'd take it. Can't afford a new vehicle, but if I could trade my truck in for one of those stubby EU type trucks, whose beds are almost the same size, I'd do it.

I used to love bombing around the winding roads in the middle of winter at night, you can see people coming for a mile down the road and can go fast. It was fun. I don't need a big 2,000lb monstrosity to get the same feeling. An ebike and woods will do it.

Meanwhile, my terrier mix: come on, throw it. Throw the toy. I want you to throw it. Throw it. Come on just throw it. HERE it's in your hand now, so THROW IT

and he will start waving his paw around like he's making a petting motion, posed in a "I'm ready to run" stance.

Also he has managed to figure out if he holds a toy under one paw, and smacks it to the opposite side with his other paw, he can fling it up to 10ft, but usually just does it to toss it at our faces if we don't throw it quick enough.
