I've seen this pop up on websites a lot lately. Usually it takes a few seconds to load the website but there have been occasions where it seemed to hang as it was stuck on that screen for minutes and I ended up closing my browser tab because the website just wouldn't load.

Is this a (known) issue or is it intended to be like this?

This is rather disappointing. The game looks really good and I've been looking forward to playing it. But I meant to play the game in co-op with my husband and when it launched in early access it didn't seem to have co-op yet (if I remember correctly) so I decided to wait until that was added (and working of course). But after hearing this news I'm a bit wary of buying a game that I'm not sure they'll even finish. That's such a shame because the game really looks amazing and super fun to play in co-op.

(What's the state of the game right now? Have they added co-op yet and how is the game so far?)

There is a mod that allows for unlimited saving without the need to use Saviour Schnapps to save. When the game was first release the only way to save was by sleeping in certain beds, after quest progress and by manually saving using Saviour Schapps. They later added a quit and save option which I think should've been in the game since the beginning. Because back then I'd often lose progress when I didn't have Saviour Schnapps or the ingredients to make them, and I didn't have a bed nearby. So that kind of ruined the experience for me. With the Unlimited Saves mod, though, you can save anytime you want just like in other games.

Gear doesn't break that often, and you can buy repair kits that have X uses and you can use those to repair your gear anytime. :)

It's actually sold in many different other countries as well (such as The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria, Poland, etc).

(Edit: fixed a typo)

It seems the guy keeps digging a bigger and bigger hole for himself. Sigh...

What's the GN debacle?

It's my first time seeing comments like on your previous post on Lemmy. I share your views on skin colour/looks and I think every human being is equal. We all look different and unique and we should embrace that uniqueness.

I totally see where you're coming from and I'm wondering if there's some misunderstanding going on. You didn't even mention America in that post yet others judge you because you're "obviously an outsider". I feel like there might be two conversations going on here that don't completely align here.

I think perhaps these people are referring to the need to put people in boxes just because many minorities are suppressed and need to be heard. So basically if you're part of a minority and you are being mistreated you naturally feel more comfortable with other people in a similar situation and thus you're automatically putting yourself in that box (I don't mean voluntarily). And in order for that minority to be heard they need to stand up for that minority/group of people.

I can see why this comes across as racist and I can totally see where you're coming from (like I said, I share the same views about equality and your looks should not matter at all).

But this leaves me with the question whether these people just didn't understand where you were coming from? They are kind of turning you into the bad guy when in my eyes you definitely aren't.

I use Actual. How it works is very similar to YNAB (you budget the money you currently have) but it's open source and privacy focused. I started using it a few months ago and I really like it so far!

How do you use your labels, folders and filters to organise your ProtonMail inbox/archive?

I decided to get Proton Unlimited yesterday and I've been trying to organise my emails, but I feel like I have the tendency to accidentally use folders and labels for the same thing so I end up with similarly named labels and folders (oops!), so I'm curious to see how people here organise their mailbox.

I was thinking one folder per alias/account/website, but when I try to add filters I'm reaching that filter limit where I have to wait 24 hours. I tried the sieve filters but, although I'm a decent programmer, it doesn't feel super intuitive.

I vaguely remember seeing this game on Steam ages ago and thinking it looked interesting, but then forgot about it. Now, during the Steam rhythm fest, it caught my eye again and I immediately bought it. And it's so, so much fun.

So first of all, if you're into rhythm games and haven't played this, I'd highly recommend it!

My question though, is if anyone else here plays it? What are your favourite songs, or do you mostly play custom songs?

I'm currently trying to get better at playing songs in Hard difficulty but tend to accidentally mix up the beats and taps. Still trying to get used to the controls, but I love it so far!

In Cities: Skylines 2, how do you usually organise your districts? What makes you decide an area should be a district? Roughly how big are your districts usually?

I feel like I might be overusing the districts a bit and it's getting a bit messy.

I don't think it's the size but more the number of communities and how active they are. So if there are more people here it hopefully means there will be more active users as well. And perhaps more niche communities.

I just started IF last week as part of my weight loss journey (I'm on a high protein diet which worked very well for me before, but haven't done IF before) and decided to try IF since I heard good things about it. I'm fasting 14 hours for 4 days a week (I also have health problems, so I'm not going for the full 7 days).

I'm going for IF from Monday night until Thursday night (so basically it ends on Friday morning). I'm on my second day since I started Thursday night. On Thursday I felt pretty good, but last night was a bit of a struggle because, despite eating enough calories (and proteins) I suddenly felt rather hungry at night even though normally I don't. Maybe it's because I can't eat that I'm suddenly hungry? You know, when you can't have something you suddenly want or need it? Haha.

What can I expect? Is there anything I should watch out for? Any tips?

I use Jetbrains Rider on Linux which runs just fine. It takes some setting up to install .NET but it didn't take me too long. Except for pre-release versions, that might take more trial and error.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the switch to Linux and I haven't had any major issues. Not with video games, either. Protondb.com is a good website to see what games do and don't work on Linux and you may need to add launch options to get specific games to work or switch to a specific version of Proton.

It's up to you to decide if it's worth it for you or not. You could try a dual boot setup first.

I'm trying to print some documents in grayscale / black & white but it keeps printing my documents in colour instead, even if I select grayscale in one of the drop down menus in the settings (under Color > Color Model).

Does anyone know if there is a specific setting I need to change for it to print in grayscale correctly? If it helps, I have a Canon MX420 printer.

Thanks so much for your help!
