Hey, I just really wanted to reiterate that a second arm would massively improve my quality of life. I don't want to come across as needy but that is the honest truth of the matter.

I was able to negotiate with the university group who would be responsible for making my arm after explaining to them my troubles with homelessness so the price has been substantially reduced for the construction and installation of the prosthetic.

Hey,

I made a post here earlier about my work attire so thank you all for the feedback.

I'm starting a new job soon but I still have yet to secure a place so I'm currently still homeless at the moment. I just need a little bit of food to hold me over for the month.

The staff at the food bank first asked if I was a student, then they asked me if I was employed and told me to show them the offer letter. One of them asked me how I lost the arm and I said I wasn't comfortable in saying why.

They then finally asked me where I live and I stupidly said that I was homeless. They then told me that they can't offer any assistance to me at this moment and urged me to leave.

I feel so humiliated and defeated. I thought food banks provided for everyone.

I'm not sure if anyone is profiencient enough to make this arm on a hobbyist sub. These aren't easy to make. And even if someone can, there's no guarantee that they will do that for free. And I would still need to find someone to install the arm for me so it's not a bad idea but idk how viable it would be

Hey, I'm a homeless amputee who recently got a new job in IT thanks to the help ive received from this community.

I'm currently trying to raise funds for a new prosthetic arm. It would help me work more efficiently and just overall massively increase my quality of life, I think, I've never had two arms before so I'm just assuming 😅
