I've also done this to quit vaping. I've quit cold turkey a couple times, but diluting like this was by far easier for me. Still difficult, especially when going to zero nic, but it worked.
A Turkish-German guy at work swears by coffee with lemons as a hangover cure. I think it's gross.

Edit: what's even more hilarious is the super majority to pass amendments was because of an amendment. Said amendment passed with 52 percent.
