And yet, I've seen people on here criticize the withdrawal. Like, how much longer did you wanna stay, dawg? Another 20 years so the proxy we set up would last another week?

I had a "leftist" lib recently who tried to argue that Lenin would have said to vote blue no matter who on the basis that he argued for participating in bourgeois democracy, after I linked him to theory he wrote about it. When I pointed out that Lenin called for such participation in a revolutionary communist party, he responded that the people weren't ready to support that yet. When I pointed out that Lenin's whole argument was based on the premise that the masses were not ready to support the communists and the point of participating was to promote the message, he accused me of, "Blindly following Lenin, regardless of material conditions."

Moralists don't have beliefs. They'll happily call themselves leftists and adopt whatever stance, say whatever sequence of words they think will ingratiate themselves to you and convince you to vote blue. I think it could be an fun bit to intentionally bait them into adopting bizarre stances just to see what the limits are. Like, what if I just started pretending to be super into Kantian ethics so they can all pretend to be Kantians and argue about how Kant would tell you to vote democrat?

Speaking of self-inserts, remember when she wrote that detective story with long segments that are just people on Twitter accusing the main character of transphobia?

Her brain's just fully melted at this point.

The American brain drain is gonna suck for people living here but is also very justified and deserved at this point.

The Americans have gotten so complacent about being on top of the world that lots of people don't think there are any real consequences to anything and just wanna fuck around. We used to be at the forefront of research but now nobody with half a brain would want to come here. We're heading full speed into a century of humiliation and people are just gonna keep doubling down on ignorance and bigotry as things get worse

ACAB includes the troops. Going to foreign countries to shoot brown kids doesn't make you any less of a bastard than doing it at home.

That's why it's in quotes. Things are treated as conspiracy theories and you often sound like a crazy person bringing them up, even if what you're saying is 100% factual.

There's a term for people who want to support the working class against the ruling class and it's "the left."

Corporate "allyship" at its finest.

The CIA can always assassinate a president who gets too far out of line, ~~like what happened to JFK,~~ but they don't tend to mind the right so much as the left.

They're straight up obsessed with it too. Like the post I was commenting on had nothing to do with it and my comments had nothing to do with it, and then someone brought it up and attacked me with it, and when I defended myself I got banned.

They really, really need the Uyghur genocide narrative to be true because it's the only way for them to excuse their support for the Palestinian genocide, and because screeching "Genocide denier!" is literally their only defense against us "tankies." It doesn't even make sense when they're all openly genocide supporters regarding a genocide that's actually real, but it is what it is.

I've seen too many examples throughout history of people trying to use nonviolence and do things the right way and just getting slaughtered because the other side simply does not care to be a pacifist. The world is clearly a better place because people employed violence in WWII to stop the Nazis. And street fighting in the 30's was one of the ways that the Nazis secured their power in the first place.

Nonviolent methods are tools that are useful to have in your toolbox, and in many situations, they are more practical in achieving your ends. But there are cases were violence is more practical, even necessary, and one shouldn't shy away from it when it's needed. You gotta have your head in the game, the stakes are too high. A diversity of tactics is best.

The logic that violence is oppressive so it should be renounced in all cases in order to reduce oppression is idealist. You have to look at the actual evidence and material situation to evaluate what effects violence will have in a given situation.

Punching Nazis is cool and good. Just try not to get arrested for it because it'll take you out of the action longer than it will them.
