Buying used still inflates the price, giving Google more money. Plus, Google is now sending you firmware updates. I like Fairphone, and there are a few ROMs you can flash onto it. But unfortunately not grapheneOS. Maybe LineageOS (without MicroG) would be the least googly, but there would still be some Google bits and bobs you'd have to turn off. /e/OS is probably a bit more degoogled, except for MicroG, which is kind of a big exception. No android is completely degoogled, it seems. There is a promising Linux phone coming to Europe soon though, the Jolla phone, and I'm hoping it gets good reviews and then comes to the US.
This isn't about Biden (who was also a really bad president). It's about what happens next. If we want to end fascism, we can't rely on the Democrats to do it for us, we need to start holding the Democrats accountable for all the ways they enabled fascism and build a new movement for and by the people. Democrats are beholden to the same oligarchs as the Republicans who directed this outcome.
I think they're saying it not an end point, its cyclical. As momentum for revolution builds, fascism kind of comes in and kills the momentum and rewrites the history. And then it ultimately crumbles on its own weight and we go back to regular old capitalism for a while.
We need to preserve our history and use the fascist momentum to fuel the fires of revolution.
Why people always talking like the Democrats need to fix this shit. They are controlled opposition. They're not going to be our saviors.
Hopefully, if there is a civil war, it will mean a new government actually for and by the people. Democrats will not be leading it, but that doesn't mean they won't start it.
The US was never really a democracy. It's an oligarchy.
Wind has about a 30-40% capacity factor (varies by location) so maybe multiple by about 3 to get to the roughly 90-95% capacity factor of coal plants. Wind also requires a lot more regulation because it doesn't ramp up/down easily. Wind is cheaper than coal, but the math is way more complicated than what you're presenting.
All plants are good protein sources, and you probably don't need as much protein as you think. The most sustainable plants are grown on a local farm. Investing in a CSA share makes it more economically sustainable for both the farmers and consumers. The most cost effective is probably something gross and drowning in pesticides (not sustainable).
They finally released what the casings said, some homophobic shit, but no "transgender ideology".
He will be a steaming pile of shit in his next life.
Superman has the ability to remove Capitalists from power and chooses not to. That is why I don't care for Superman.

There's no reason to think that they won't also lose US markets. I live in the US and trying to cut my reliance on US tech.
