Of course to fully stop climate change we will need at least a majority of people globally's countries to support green efforts, so realistically the brunt of the heavy work of fighting climate change will be done in the global south. I only really see the global north/west/imperial core doing anything when its profitable short term to fight climate change, or if a country in the imperial core has a socialist revolution.
