Jo Cox, she was a wonderful woman and we owe it to her, and to history, to remember her name. She was murdered for her views, not only on Brexit, but on comprehensive support of Syrian people (not just handling ISIS/IL but Asad too) and of Gazan people.

Anyone downplaying the idea of threats to MPs has a disgracefully short fucking memory. People can be radicalised to many views and many places on the political spectrum and we need to at minimum remember that extremists can have strange (and unwilling) bedfellows.

The women – who have not been named but include both Conservative and Labour members of parliament – have had their security upgraded as MPs are said to be “petrified” at the abuse they are facing.

Firstly, it’s not just Labour, secondly, I’d call that a “hint” at being threatened.

Don’t downplay abuse that’s been assessed as a risk to life, then play the tactician about “generic risk assessment” it makes you seem callow.

Yes; but this is newsworthy as Mick Lynch also just told people to buck up, eat their veg, and vote Labour. So this is slightly in breaking with the “Starmer or nowt” mentality of those statements.

Your research skills seem on par with your geography.

Poor Monty, you ever die young, or live long enough to resemble a Peter Howson painting.

“I’m a Conservative,” he says. “The Tories are the people who can bring the money from London.”

Said by a man handing out food from a shopping trolley to his impoverished neighbours, 14 years into Tory rule…

Pressumably the money is sitting waiting to go on the first HS2 train to Manchester…

Just the basics, a prime really, the bare minimum before you’re allowed to get behind the wheel of a two tonne vehicle.

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle, Farage is the party, and though they lulled, Farage is so closely associated with the party people are often looking past the party just to him.

Reform is basically rebranded UKIP, and that’s been around since 1993. (Or 1991 if you want to go with the founding of the original anti-Federal Europe group).

We’ll see about Suffragette. The Metropolitan has two more syllables and doesn’t get abbreviated, but Lizzie does, and that has one less than Metropolitan.

I would say Liberty is the weakest by far. The rest I’m fairly happy with (after initially wondering why they didn’t bring back East London Line, or North London Line)
